Chairman of the Small Business Association (SBA) Eugen Roscovanu, and head of the Committee for Defence of Citizens Rights (CADC) Eduard Musuc are kept in custody by the Buiucani Police Precinct. Eugen Roscovanu told Info-Prim Neo that he and Eduard Musuc were detained under accusations of affecting the traffic of public transport. According to the cited source, immediately after the authorised protest meeting, those about 3,000 patentees used the crosswalk near the National Opera House, where the meeting was held. “Obviously, the passing of such a crowd of people jammed the traffic for some ten minutes”, Roscovanu says, adding that both he and Musuc tried to suggest people to use other crosswalks as well. At that moment, they were detained by policemen and taken to the Commissariat. Roscovanu’s and Musuc’s lawyer, Ghenadie Tatar, told Info-Prim Neo that, for the time being, he is unaware of the legal grounds for which the two organisers of the meeting were detained. In the lawyer’s opinion, anybody may cross the street (according to traffic rules) in any place he or she chooses to.
