Only two ministers of the current Cabinet deserve to enter the future Government – Minister of Education Maia Sandu and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Natalia Gherman, considers the executive director of the Comrat Youth Center “Piligrim-Demo” Mihail Sirkeli.

“I think Maia Sandu should be kept as she showed integrity and implemented reforms, even if not till the end. What she did earned her respect,” Mihail Sirkeli stated for IPN.

The expert considers that the new Government won’t be the place where decisions will be taken. The real decisions will be taken at the head office of the Liberal Democratic Party and at a select club that belongs to the first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Vlad Plahotniuc.

“I think now the two parties that assumed governance do not have many persons who deserve to hold the post of minister. The previous years, there were more worthy persons in these parties. Those who didn’t accept the rules of the game left the party and even withdrew from politics. I do not see persons in these parties who would be able to implement reforms and assume the obligations undertaken before the EU,” stated Mihail Sirkeli.

The new Government is to be invested by February 11. The nominated candidate for premiership Iurie Leanca is supported by the PLDM and PDM (42 seats of MP), but needs to garner at least 51 votes of MP to be invested.
