Only 1/3 of apartment blocks in Chisinau to benefit of hot water

Only 460 of those 1542 apartment blocks of Chisinau municipality that are connected to the heating network will benefit of hot water after the deliveries performed by the Power Plant -2 will be halted on July 11, 2006. The commercial director of “Termocm”, Mihai Arusoi, declared on Monday, July 10 at Mayoralty’s operative meeting that those over 400 blocks will receive hot water from Power Plant-1 which will continue functioning from July 11 to August 11. Meanwhile, at the Power Plant-2 repair works will take place. Delivers of hot water will continue in Centru and Buiucani district as far as Ion Creanga Street. According to the quoted source, there will be analyzed solutions for connecting other districts of Chisinau to Power Plant-1. The payment level of the thermal energy is of 84.7%, of which the dwelling fund paid 83.9%. The co-operative sector paid 84.4%, the Associations of the owners of privatized dwellings - 79.4%, the departmental dwelling fund -76.5%, the private sector – 91.8%, economic agents -93.7%. The current debts of the hot water consumers of Chisinau municipality amounts at present to 447.9 million lei.
