The Supervisory Board of the national public broadcaster Teleradio-Moldova remained without a member after Viorica Mesina vacated her seat.
The Board’s head Aurelia Peru Balan has told IPN that the leaving of Viorica Mesina Prodan is connected with her creative activity. “She is preparing a premiere for this autumn. But she hasn’t tendered her resignation officially yet. Immediately after she offers her resignation, we will inform the Broadcasting Coordination Council about the vacancy so that a contest can be announced,” she stated.
According to Aurelia Peru Balan, the leaving of Viorica Prodan blocked the voting process in the Board.
The Supervisory Board consists of nine members, who are public personalities with professional qualifications in different areas of activity. The term in office of six members named in 2009 expires on December 23.
