Not resting on his fresh Olympic bronze laurels, Serghei Tarnovschi went on to snatch two medals at ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, taking place in the Uzbek city of Samarkand.
In the 500 meters event, the Moldovan athlete clocked 01:47.312 to take the gold. He also became the world runner-up in the 5000 meters event.
The other medal came from the duo Daniela Cociu-Maria Olǎrașu, who paddled the C2 women’s 200 meters in 44.104, picking up the silver.
