The early parliamentary elections are inevitable and a government of the left will be most probably installed as a result of these, political analyst Olga Nicolenco forecast in the program “Pahomi” on Realitatea TV channel, IPN reports.

“I cannot say with certitude when, but the early elections will take place, either next spring or next autumn. If we take into account the poll results showing that 47% of the people eligible to vote will not take part in the elections, while the ratings of the parties led by Renato Usatyi and Igor Dodon are the highest, the future government could be formed by these parties,” stated Nicolenco.

She noted that a government formed by the Party of Socialists and the European People’s Party of Moldova will not be a ‘happy scenario’. “The Republic of Moldova is heading for a precipice and such a government will represent the bottom of this precipice. On the other hand, it is probably better so. Maybe we should go through such an experience so that the people in this country wake up and make effort for things to return to normality,” she said.

Olga Nicolenco also said that the current political class is liable to criminal punishment for the situation experienced in the country. “They are unable at least to communicate between them and do it through news conferences. They could soon govern through news conferences! After Filat, more persons of those who cannot reach an agreement at the upper level should be arrested and brought to justice,” she stated.
