Before the 29th anniversary of the declaring of the Independence of the Republic of Moldova, IPN gathers together the thoughts of those who have something to say about these years, about the country and society. Here are the thoughts of soprano Olga Busuioc on the occasion of the anniversary:

“I get angry with Moldova and in five minutes love it again because it anyway occupies a special place in my heart. No matter what difficult situations this country faces, Moldova for me is the parental home and is the love I received for people and for my homeland. My parents taught me to speak about Moldova with pride and to speak about my roots no matter where I am,” stated the soprano.

Olga Busuioc said a large part of her projects are implemented at home, are designed with fantastic specialists from the Republic of Moldova, but are presented abroad. She becomes sad when she realizes that the domestic public does not have the chance to see and hear what the foreign public sees and hears.

“I receive many calls. A lot of young people do not have sufficient information. They are desperate and do not know what to do: to take up two, three jobs? How can one study for 12 years and then work in the theater, school, kindergarten and get a salary that enables you to survive, not to live? The remuneration is paid in envelopes, corruption affects the brain and society cannot function well.”

According to Olga Busuioc, Moldova has very talented and devoted people. It’s great that there are persons who make effort to change things through art as many things come and go, but the essential things remain.

“Be proud of your roots no matter where you are. Struggle for what you are and for what you want to offer to society. Try to be good examples, sources of inspiration and those from which changes start so that we could ultimately say that we are free, we are powerful, we are independent,” said the soprano, addressing the compatriots.

Olga Busuioc graduated from the College of Music “Ştefan Neaga” and then from the Academy of Music, Theater and Plastic Arts of Chisinau.  She started to sing on stages in Italy after she won a scholarship to study during two years at the Modena Bel Canto Academy. In 2011, she finished second in the final of the prestigious competition for opera singers “Operalia” that is organized by the famous tenor Placido Domingo. She performed on stages in Russia, Norway. France, Belgium, Spain, Austria...
