The government will not tolerate the involvement of civil servants and state employees in the election campaign during working hours. Additionally, the executive will not allow the use of administrative resources in this campaign. According to the Secretary General of the government, Andrei Spînu, any deviation will be promptly investigated and sanctioned according to the law. If violations are confirmed, dismissals will follow.

In a press conference, Andrei Spînu said that the government was notified of two potential violations. In one case it is alleged that a state agency from the Orhei district uses a governmental contact database in order to call and urge voters to cast their vote for a certain electoral competitor. The second case regards "Poșta Moldovei" SOE which is allegedly distributing electoral materials to subscribers, along with magazines. According to the secretary, the cases are being investigated and will be ruled upon shortly.

Andrei Spînu added that he requested public administration authorities to hold all electoral meetings outside working hours and insisted that participation should be voluntary.

At the conference, the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ianuș Erhan, said that MAI employees will receive training regarding their duties during the election campaign and changes to the electoral code. Police officers are trained how to respond to incidents or events that may affect the proper conduct of the voting process.

On October 20, 2019 general local elections will be held, as well as snap parliamentary elections in four uninominal constituencies: no. 17, 33, 48 and 50.
