Official of NATO says that Action Plan Moldova-NATO will increase security of Moldova

The objectives stipulated in the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) will contribute to promoting reforms, modernizing armed forces, increasing security of Moldova, fact which will contribute to strengthening regional and international security, the general Jozsef Forgo, the director of the Coordination Cell of the Partnership for Peace declared, is said in a press release of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. At a meeting with Eugenia Kistruga, deputy-minister of MFAEI, general Forgo pleaded in favor of a productive collaboration between Moldova and NATO within the frameworks of the Partnership for Peace program and called on Moldova to implement IPAP. Eugenia Kistruga emphasized the aspiration of European integration of the Republic of Moldova, as well as the reforming and continuous transformation engagements in order to join the European values and standards. It was mentioned that the development of the cooperation with NATO aims at facilitating the process of promoting reforms, democratization of the country, modernization the security and defense field. According to a press release of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bulgaria, the second reunion of the South-Eastern Defense Ministers took place in Tirana on September 27, where Moldova was represented by Veaceslav Madan, ambassador accredited in this country with headquarters in Sofia. Within his speech, the ambassador Madan, especially presented the role of regional cooperation based on European values in solving frozen conflicts in order to achieve stability and security in the region. The official reiterated that Moldova has a firm position on amplifying cooperation both on regional and international level for settling the transnistrian conflict.
