MP Octavian Țîcu,  of the ACUM/DA group, says that currently there is an agreement between two political groups that were diametrically opposed vision -ise during the election campaign. According to him, "their immediate and short-term goal was to overthrow Plahotniuc's regime and organize fair elections for the citizens of this country, which would allow fair political representation in Parliament." In a Radio Free Europe interview, the parliamentarian said that authentic change with the PSRM would be difficult, because the factions entered a dangerous game of office nomination distribution based on political deals.

"It is a very veiled form of hybrid warfare in which the right and the left are trying to create a hybrid form of government that I don't know what it can lead to, but the risks are very high for all of us and we have seen them, because the Socialist Party has many skeletons in the closet, so to speak, one of the largest being Igor Dodon himself. This creates many impediments for us in our desire to be honest and in the desire to cleanse the state and to continue the de-oligarchization”, noted Octavian Țîcu.

The deputy mentioned that appointments were made without them being discussed inside the political bloc. The bloc council ceased to exist and neither communication nor negotiations take place between the bloc deputies. He heard about some appointments from the press. "For example, I found out about the appointment of the Minister of Justice from the press. Andrei Nastase's vote at the PACE hasn't been discussed either inside the party or inside the bloc, and so was the appointment of the Secretary of the Government. There are things that have violated the spirit of the bloc, there is no decision-making transparency which has generated a lot of frustration inside the bloc,” said the deputy.

Octavian Țîcu argues that things are complicated inside the bloc, because of divisions regarding the long term agreement between ACUM and PSRM, pushed by the Socialists. Moreover, the continuation of this alliance in any shape or form is harmful. According to the deputy, the Socialists have experience in dealing with the PDM, since they were complicit in setting up the oligarchic regime. Because ACUM members won't negotiate with PDM, the Democrats turn to the Socialists and openly negotiate.

Asked about the participation in the local elections, Octavian Țîcu stated that his political faction agrees that Andrei Năstase will be the Dignity and Truth Platform candidate. "We very much hope that he will be the ACUM bloc candidate as well. This is a rule that up to the present time has not been upheld,” said the deputy.
