The Government will finalize the draft budgetary-fiscal policy law for 2016 this week, Minister of Finance Octavian Armasu stated in the talk show “Fabrika” on Publika TV channel, IPN reports.
“We had discussions with representatives of the IMF in Chisinau. The invitation for an IMF mission to come to Chisinau must contain reasoned ideas. The dialogue with the IMF will not be simple, while their conditions are clear. We must discuss the budget elements with the IMF. The budgetary-fiscal policy is another dimension. It was prepared by the previous Government. We only did some changes. The draft budgetary-fiscal policy law for 2016 will be ready by this weekend. It will be published on the Ministry’s website,” said the minister.
Octavian Armasu noted he will insist on the adoption of the 2016 budget law as a matter of urgency. “The lack of a budget means salaries paid with delay to doctors, teachers and other budget-funded employees, the absence of heat in the homes and of solutions for developing businesses. Adopting the budget law is the only solution,” he explained.
The minister stated that the budgetary-fiscal policy for 2016 will not differ much from that of 2015. “There will be no essential tax rises, except for the excise duties, but these are increased every year,” he said.
