A number of 141 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Moldova today, July 21, as opposed to 89 yesterday. Four of these cases were imported. Two of the cases of infection are among medical personnel, IPN reports, quoting the Ministry of Health.
Three persons succumbed to the disease today. Moldova by now has got 258 237 cases of COVID-19.
Seven of the 285 infected patients who are now in hospitals were put on a ventilator.
Epidemiologist Angela Paraschiv earlier said the number of COVID-19 cases in Moldova is expected to rise in August-September due to the new variants of the virus.
