The rise in the number of infections with the novel coronavirus last week is due to the non-observance by the population of the restrictive measures imposed by the authorities and the poor management of the active cases, shows a poll conducted by Date Inteligente. This involved 22 experts, IPN reports.

According to the experts, to improve the situation concerning COVID-19, the authorities should ask the foreign partners to become involved in the management of the pandemic. The experts also believe that the authorities should impose more restrictive measures and should ban all the tourism activities, the activities of the hospitality industry, etc.

As to Russia’s approval of a COVID-19 vaccine and to Igor Dodon’s intention to test the vaccine, almost 60% of the experts said the President makes such assertions in order to obtain the sympathies of the Russian authorities. Over 36% of the experts believe he should cooperate with the states that managed the COVID-19 pandemic and undertake the mechanisms used by these.

Almost 32% of the experts consider the physical presence of students in schools is the most efficient learning method for 2020-2021. Slightly over 27% pleaded for mixed learning, while over 13% for weekly alternated learning.

According to the Ministry of Healthy, Labor and Social Protection, over 41,700 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Moldova so far. The death toll from COVID-19 stands at 1,106.
