Novel coronavirus claims three more lives in Moldova

There more persons diagnosed with COVID-19 lost the battle with the disease. The victims include a 58-year-old man from Tiraspol and two women aged 67 and, respectively, 78 from Chisinau, IPN reports.

According to the information presented by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection in the morning of May 4, all the three persons suffered also from other diseases, such as arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus and overweight. The death toll now rose to 128.

As many as 252 infected persons are in a serious state and 27 of them were put on a ventilator.

Forty-one persons were discharged from the hospital on May 3. In total, 1,423 persons have been cured by now.

A number of 1,025 infections among healthcare workers have been confirmed so far. Sixty persons suspected of having COVID-19 were admitted to the COVID-19 Center in Chisinau during the last 24 hours.

The infections with COVID-19 totaled 4,121 in Moldova by now. Of these, 489 cases were recorded in the Transnistrian region.
