Effective on 15 December 2014, Moldovans holding biometric passports will be able to travel to Israel without a visa for a maximum stay of 90 days in any 6 month/180 day period from the date of the first entry, IPN reports.

Israel reserves itself the right to deny entry to unwelcome persons or to cut their stay in the country, the Israeli MFA said in a note.

The Moldovan MFA is recommending Moldovan citizens who wish to travel to Israel to make sure they can show, upon the request of the Israeli border police, a proof of accommodation or sponsorship (hotel/invitation from sponsors) and a return air ticket.
