The National Liberal Party (NLP) presented Saturday its election platform for the general local elections scheduled for June 3.
NLP’s planks are to modernise the settlements in Moldova using European funds, obtained with Romania’s support; to ensure real decentralisation of local public administration, following the European principle of local autonomy; to democratise local governance etc.
According to the party, these objectives can be attained by de-Sovietising and Europeanising Moldova’s society.
NLP has also presented the candidates for municipal councillors, as well as the party’s candidate for the office of mayor general of Chisinau, who is the leader of the Party, Vitalia Pavlicenco. The first five on the list of councillors are Mihai Severovan, Simion Plesca, Mircea Rusu, Octavian Grama and Vasile Efros.
Pavlicenco is no.11-registered candidate for mayor. The list of councillors on behalf of the party will have the same number on the ballots.
