A ninth grader of a lyceum of Sângera town brought to school a shell that her father found in their yard of their house for the institution’s museum. The history teacher presumed this dates from World War II and informed the police. The police restricted the access to the lyceum and called out a bomb squad of the Ministry of Defense. The examinations showed the shell didn’t pose a threat, IPN reports.

The shell was found by the girl’s father as a result of building works in the yard on April 12, the General Police Inspectorate has said.

The police warn the parents to permanently supervise their children and to alert the police in similar cases.
