What is going on in Moldova’s Parliament is an already seen phenomenon that repeats because society didn’t draw the necessary conclusions from the previous experience, political analyst Nicolae Chirtoaca, who heads the extraparliamentary party “People’s Force”, said in the talk show “Place for dialogue” on the public station Radio Moldova, IPN reports.

According to the analyst, these are the consequences of an election campaign based on geopolitical criteria, which considerably divided Moldovan society. “In the election campaign of last autumn, the voters overlooked a detail and voted not for reforms and the country’s development, but for a political course,” he stated.

Nicolae Chirtoaca considers the leaders of the three parties – the PLDM, PD and PL – if they had really wanted Moldova to become integrated into the EU, would have long ago reached a compromise as to how to form a pro-European ruling alliance. “If they had been sincere and hadn’t hidden behind the European course, they should have promoted reformists to these ministries so that they continued the real reforms. They do not care and do not discuss the implementation of the Association Agreement. They struggle for the ministries that generate profit,” he said.

According to Nicolae Chirtoaca, it seems that Ghimpu takes the ace out of the hole and plays it on the last 100 meters so as to get what he wants. In fact, the Liberals pursue certain strategies of the PDM - to obtain more posts having the fewest number of seats of MP. Filat is too optimistic. Neither the Democrats will concede and the situation continues to worsen,” stated the analyst.
