Nicolae Chirtoaca designated as permanent representative to WB and IMF

The Government accepted at the meeting held Wednesday, May 2, to appoint Nicolae Chritoaca, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Moldova to the USA, to the office of permanent representative of Moldova to the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Chirtoaca will concurrently serve as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Brazil and Mexico. The proposal was made by the minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. The draft decree shall be forwarded to the president of Moldova for signing. Nicolae Chirtoaca was appointed in August 2006 to the office of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Moldova to the USA. Previously he was known as a political analyst, being the director of the Invisible College of Moldova and of the European Institute for Political Studies.
