Former MP Ilan Shor came under the scrutiny of the National Integrity Authority (NIA) for not having declared property to the value of over 10 million lei. The inspectors identified a substantial difference between the wealth acquired, the income obtained and the expenses incurred by him and his family members, IPN reports.

The NIA’s findings document says that for the period between August 2016 and November 2022, a difference of 4.3 million lei between the acquired wealth, the income and expenses was detected and the unjustified nature of the possession of this wealth was noted.

Also, there was a clear difference of over 6.4 million lei between the property acquired and the income obtained by Ilan Shor and his family members during July 2015 - December 2015.

The integrity inspector will send the case to the court for examination and ordering of the confiscation of unjustified property equal to the identified substantial difference.
