The famous travel guide book publisher Lonely Planet ranked Moldova first among the European counties with unrealized tourist potential. The Tourism Agency placed this message in its new video made to promote the country’s tourist image, which was presented on August 4. It will be shown on international TV channels and in China on August 8, IPN reports.

According to the Agency’s director general Nicolae Platon, the video that is 50 seconds will be shortened so as to comply with the requirements of the international TV channels. On the World Tourism Day that is marked on September 26, the video’s variant that lasts for 6 minutes will be finished. The video forms part of the communication campaign for 2014-2015 that will be carried out in Germany, the UK, Poland, France, the Scandinavian countries and China.

The promotional video was created by a working group. In order to disseminate the message and attract tourists, it was decided to focus on the status given by Lonely Planet. For full clarity and sincerity, there was also used a message transmitted by a native speaker of English – the British Ambassador in Chisinau Philip David Batson.

The video presents the weather in Moldova, beautiful landscapes, activities, local culture and traditions. The song “En of pianoland” of Moldovan singer Andrew Rayel was used as the soundtrack. The video of 30 seconds will be finished in autumn. Negotiations are already held with European TV channels for disseminating it.

The video was made at a cost of 198,000 lei.
