The new apartments market in Moldova got stable and shows signs that will start to grow in summer. The private investors became slightly livelier, the general director of the Municipal Mortgage Agency AMIC Petru Pripa has told Info-Prim Neo. Pripa said that the prices of new apartments now reached the most probable stability level. The new trend follows a 15-20% decrease in apartment prices witnesses in the first quarter of this year.
The AMIC director general says that several factors dictate the rules on the housing market. “At the start of May, the price of cement increased by 140 lei a tonne following the rise in the price of gasoline. It is expected that the prices of other building materials will also go up. In the height of the construction season, which is in summer and autumn, the salaries of employees working in the sector will also grow,” Petru Pripa said, explaining how the prices of apartments will be formed during the next period.
According to him, a more important factor is the fact that there are practically no plots for construction left in Chisinau. Therefore, the prices of land could be included in the cost of the building, which could lead to a rise in prices.
The prices will not remain stable for long. They will go up as in many other countries, including Romania, the AMIC director general said.
It is the best time to purchase new apartments and wasting time means wasting money, Petru Pripa said. Thus, the Agency offers to provide the potential buyers with guarantees that the money invested now will not be lost. AMIC guarantees that it has a sufficient number of finished apartments in buildings that have been already put in commission or in houses that will be finished soon. Therefore, the dangers that can appear when investing money in constructions are reduced to zero.
AMIC can also provide assistance in mediating loans granted by its partners from the financial sector, which are much more attractive than those offered on the Moldovan market, Petru Pripa stated for Info-Prim Neo.
