The network of NGOs that provide assisted employment services to persons with disabilities will be expanded in the framework of the project “Together for the rights to work of persons with disabilities” that was launched by “MOTIVAȚIE” Association, IPN reports.
“Given that the assisted employment services were regulated at national level, service providers will need to be identified all over the country. For the purpose, the NGOs working in the field will need to be capacitated. The project will have a significant impact on persons with disabilities from our country as the number of persons with disabilities who will have an accessible job and will become active citizens will increase,” said the executive director of the Association Ludmila Iachim.
The Association “MOTIVAȚIE” established a partnership with the public association “Community Mental Health Institute PSINCLUSION” and the Dubăsari Association of Parents of Children with Disabilities “Alye Parusa” (“Scarlet Sails”), as part of the project “Together for the rights to work of persons with disabilities”, with the aim of training and capacitating new specialists in the field of assisted employment of persons with disabilities.
“Alye Parusa” head Stella Klimenko said the selection of specialists who want to attend this professional training course, with the assistance of the Association “MOTIVAȚIE”, and the identification of employers that are ready to hire persons with disabilities from regions, will be the first steps that will be taken by their association.
"PSINCLUSION” director Arcadie Astrahan noted there is a pressing need to give work to this group of persons. “Through the agency of this project, we will together contribute so that the assisted employment of persons with disabilities expands nationwide,” he stated.
Assisted employment is a method of working with persons with disabilities and persons from vulnerable groups for ensuring access and maintaining remunerated employment on the free labor market.
