Nearly two thousand polling stations to be established at local elections on October 20

For the general local elections on October 20, 1,969 polling stations will be established. Most are located in Chisinau, Orhei, Ungheni and Soroca constituencies, IPN reports, referring to Central Electoral Commission (CEC) data.

The fewest polling stations will be opened in the electoral constituencies of Dubasari and Basarabeasca.

Due to holding snap parliamentary elections too on October 20, 50 polling stations in the electoral uninominal constituency (CEU) no.17 in Nisporeni and 27 polling stations in CEU no.33 in Chisinau will also conduct electoral activities specific to parliamentary elections.

At the same time, other 25 polling stations have been set up for voters in settlements on the left bank of the Dniester, in Bender and some localities of Causeni district (in CEU no. 48), while 85 polling stations – for voters living abroad (in CEU no. 50).

According to the CEC, by September 24, the polling stations' election offices shall be set up.
