The National Agency for Energy Regulation (NAER) approved the new natural gas tariffs for end-users. The tariffs were decreased by 20.3% on average, to 4,420 lei per thousand cubic meter of gas (without VAT of 8%), IPN reports.
The tariff for a volume of up to 30 cubic meters of gas consumed by household users will be 4,705 lei per thousand cubic meters of gas, down from the current tariff of 5,892 lei, without VAT.
The tariff for a larger volume of consumed gas will be 4,895 lei, as opposed to the current tariff of 6,138 lei per thousand cubic meters of gas, without VAT.
The price of the natural gas supplied by Moldovagaz to Termoelectrica and other holders of licenses in the thermoelectric sector will be 4,018 lei per thousand cubic meters of gas, as against 5,000 lei at present.
The tariffs take effect when they are published in the Official Gazette, but will be applied retroactively as of January 1, 2018. The calculations for household users will be made by Moldovagaz.
The last time the gas tariffs were modified on January 26, 2016.
