The national U-21 team of Moldova scored the fourth victory in the 2015 European Championship preliminaries on November 19. The ‘tricolors’ beat the similar squad of Lithuania by 3-0, IPN reports.

The Lithuanian footballers played practically the entire match in numerical inferiority after Daniel Gunevic was eliminated in 3rd minute. FC Tiraspol striker Igor Dima opened the score in the 37th minute, while Nicolae Milinceanu, of Veris, set the final scoreline after scoring two goals, in the 54th and 84th minutes.

As a result of this success, Moldova takes the second position in the rankings with 13 points, by three fewer than England. “It is important that we scored another three goals. Before the last match against England, we will see if we have chances to qualify,” Moldova coach Alexandru Curteian told a news conference.

Before the September 9 encounter with England in Tiraspol, the ‘tricolors’ will play two games abroad against Finland on June 1 and against Lithuania on June 5.
