The national women’s tennis team of Moldova aims to qualify for the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group II. The competition will be hosted by Chisinau during June 13-17 and will bring together 16 national teams, IPN reports.
The national team’s coach Andrei Andreev made public the names of the four athletes who will compete in the tournament. These are: Daniela Ciobanu, Alexandra Perper, Gabriela Porubin, and Vitalia Stamat.
“After the successful participation in the ITF tournaments, the girls have good chances to qualify now for the next group” Andrei Andreev told a news conference.
Alexandra Perper has the best position in the world rankings – 431st. The games will be played on the courts of the specialized tennis school of Chisinau.
