The national women’s basketball team of Moldova scored two victories at the U-18 European Championship, Division C, but ranked last, IPN reports.
Moldova won two of the three matches of the group - 62-51 against Gibraltar and 56-54 against the host country Andorra - but in the semifinals failed to beat again Gibraltar, losing 41-57. In the match for the third place, Moldova was defeated by Andorra 41-55.
Maria Terzi scored the largest number of points for the Moldovan team – 11.
In the final, Gibraltar won against Malta 56-49. Division C involved four teams.
