Traditionally, on the first weekend of October, the Great National Assembly Square turns into a true “Wine Town”. In 2024, the National Wine Day marks its 23rd edition and brings together a record number of wineries, 99 in total.

For two days, on Saturday and Sunday, the cultural and wine heritage of Moldova is celebrated under the slogan “Our Amazing Wine”. Visitors will be able to taste a varied range of wines. To encourage responsible consumption, organizers introduced the Taster’s Card, allowing visitors to taste 11 wines from the range on offer.

Among the main attractions is the Wine School, where participants can learn the art of tasting, explore local wines and enjoy wine tours organized by the country’s most renowned wineries. The card also comes with an eco-friendly glass and a 20% discount on Wine of Moldova promotional items. Details about the Taster’s Card and rules of use are available here.

In addition to exquisite tastings, the festival also includes a series of cultural activities, from pottery workshops and folk dances, to live concerts from renowned artists such as the Osoianu Sisters, Zdob and Zdub and others.

“This event not only highlights local wines, but also promotes a moderate and responsible consumption of wine, thus becoming a celebration of tradition and modernity, all under the sign of national pride”, the event’s organizers say.

The National Wine Day has been celebrated in Moldova since 2002. The event tends to be an international celebration, promoting Moldovan wine abroad. In this context, on October 12 and 13, the fourth edition of Moldovan Wine Day will take place in Bucharest.
