The national tennis team of Moldova beat the squad of Mozambic 3-0 in the first match of the Fed Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 3, IPN reports.
Vitalia Stamat and Daniela Ciobanu won the singles. Later, Stamat, 16, demolished Claudia Sumaya 6-0, 6-2, while Ciobanu defeated Marieta De Lyubov 6-2, 6-1. In the doubles, Alexandra Perper and Gabriela Porubin won against Sumaya/De Lyubov 6-1, 6-0.
Moldova competes in a group with Algeria and Morocco. The games are played at the Specialized Tennis Sports School in Chisinau.
