The men’s national tennis team played the first match of the 2018 Davis Cup Europe/Africa Zone Group 3, IPN reports.
Moldova played Liechtenstein and managed to score the victory after the singles matches already. Egor Matvievici beat Timo Kranz 7-6, 6-2, while Vasilii Dontu defeated Vital Flurin Leuch 7-5, 6-4. The doubles matches will be played this evening. Moldova will be represented by the same players - Dontu and Matvievici.
Malta and Kosovo compete in the same group as Moldova. The matches are played in Montenegro until April 9.
