The head of the Human Resources Section of the Criuleni Police Inspectorate Natalia Kirilov died after developing complications caused by COVID-19 in the morning of August 24. She was 38 and was admitted to a maternity hospital in Chisinau on July 22. In two days, she tested positive for COVID-19. Owing to complications, the doctors decided to save the child by caesarian section, IPN reports.
“This is a sad day for the National Police. We hoped till the end that she will recover and will return home and to our team,” says a press release of the police. The woman left two children aged 10 and 13.
The death toll from COVID-19 in Moldova now stands at 940.
