The National Public Health Agency requested the chairman of the National Extraordinary Commission for Public Health, Prime Minister Ion Chicu, to consider the necessity of declaring a public health emergency, Minister of Health, Labor and Social Protection Viorica Dumbrăveanu announced after the meeting of the Single Command Center, IPN reports.
The decision was taken on the platform of the National Focal Point. A public health emergency should be declared given the epidemiological situation and the necessity of maintaining the measures to prevent the spread of infection, stated the minister.
Viorica Dumbrăveanu also said that the public health emergency entails infection prevention and control measures. The restrictions will be adapted, not relaxed.
The minister called on the population to continue to obey the restrictive measures, not to form crowds and to wear personal protective equipment.
