The national futsal team of Moldova beat the similar squad of Wales in the first round of Group H of the qualifying competition of the 2020 World Championship. Moldova won by 8-4, IPN reports.
The first half of the match played at the sports complex Futsal Arena FMF in Ciorescu commune ended by 1-1. The guests opened the score in the 11th minute through Chris Hugh. Moldova scored three minutes later through Cristian Obadă.
In the second half, Moldova made a real show, scoring for seven times. Cristian Obadă scored twice, the other goals being scored by Sergiu Munteanu, Andrian Lașcu, Andrei Negară, Sergiu Tacot and Ion Anton.
In the other match of the group, Finland demolished Northern Ireland 9-1.
The team trained by Vladimir Vusatyi plays a match against Northern Ireland in Ciorescu at 6:30pm on January 31. The first two ranked teams qualify for the next round.
