The national football team of Moldova on September 5 enters a new qualification competition. They meet away Wales, which recently won bronze in the European Championship, IPN reports.
“In any game, we must set the maximum objective. The same is true about the qualification competitions. We must make effort to show an organized, good or bad, but our game,” Moldova coach Igor Dobrovolski told a news conference.
“We realize that it will be a very hard game. We expect a nice atmosphere with a packed stadium. But we are motivated to achieve a good result,” said halfback Artur Ionita.
The team leaves for Cardiff on September 3. The match against Wales starts at 9:45pm, Moldova’s time, on September 5.The group also includes Ireland, Austria, Serbia, and Georgia. Only the winner of the group qualifies directly for the 2018 World Cup.
