The team trained by Igor Dobrovolski faces a new test before the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying round. On May 27, Moldova plays away against Croatia, which has qualified for the UEFA EURO 2016, IPN reports.
The match will take place in Koprivnica, which will host the first game of the national team of Croatia. The two teams met also on May 24, 2008, when Niko Kovac scored the only goal of the match played in Rijeka. Moldova negotiated also with Ukraine, but they could not agree on an encounter.
On June 3, Moldova plays Switzerland in Lugano, while on June 5 it meets Wales away in the first match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia qualifying round.
