National Bank of Moldova canceled the license of „Businessbank”

The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) canceled the license of the commercial bank “Bussinessbank” regarding its financial activity, on the request of the liquidation Commission of the bank. According to a press release of NBM, the decision to liquidate the bank was made on July 29, 2005, at the extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of “Businessbank”. At the beginning of September, 2005 the plan of measures on this decision was approved inclusively liquidation of all bank’s bonds. During the next period, on the request of the clients the assumed obligations regarding legal and natural persons were honored. The obligations afferent to the bank deposits, the surplus stock of which was not solicited, as well as the respective assets were transferred to the accounts of Banca de Economii, subsidiary nr 1 in Chisinau. At this institution the solicitants can recover their financial resources. According to the accountant balance sheets, starting June 15, 2006, “Businessbank” has no more obligations regarding its clients.
