National Army service members trained by U.S. instructors

Service members of the National Army’s 10th Special Forces Group and of the Special Purpose Battalion “Fulger” are taking part in the exercise “Joint Combined Exchange Training – 2018” at the Bulboaca Military Training Center until April 27, IPN has learned from the National Army.

According to the commander of the Special Purpose Battalion “Fulger”, Lieutenant-Colonel Ion Ojog, within the exercise 65 contract service members of the National Army are trained by ten U.S instructors to apply advanced shooting techniques and in urban warfare. The Moldovan service members also perform field training exercises. The training program also includes shooting from light and heavy artillery weapons of the National Army and the U.S. Army.

The goal of the exercise is to train collectively and to ensure the exchange of experience between service members of the Moldova and U.S. Special Forces.
