Natalia Gavrilița, former Prime Minister of Moldova, voted today in Berlin. In a post on her Facebook page, she thanked Moldovans for their mobilization and civic activism.

"Today, I voted in Berlin, alongside many Moldovans filled with longing for home. The first time I voted from the diaspora was in 2005, in Washington DC, then in London, and now here. I am confident that the diaspora will contribute to anchoring the country on a positive path of growth and development, so that more of us can vote at home, in Moldova! I thank all Moldovans abroad for their civic activism and encourage everyone to vote – every voice counts for the future of our country," wrote Natalia Gavrilița, as quoted by IPN.

By 4:25 PM, over 150,000 Moldovans from the diaspora had cast their votes in the October 20 elections. Once again, Moldovans have traveled thousands of kilometers and waited in lines to vote.
