Cooperating with Russia will lead to reputational and economic losses to any post-Soviet country that decides to do so, while Ukraine’s eventual victory will give the post-Soviet space a chance to achieve real independence, the Ukrainian presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak declared during a program on Moldova 1.

“For our post-Soviet space - and for you, Moldova, too - it is extremely important that Ukraine inflict significant tactical military defeats on Russia. Then you will be able to solve many of your problems. The post-Soviet space will get a second chance, a second breath and gain real independence”, Podolyak said.

Commenting on news about Armenia’s seemingly supportive actions for the Russian imperial ambitions, Podolyak said that “in the medium term, it is impossible to work with the Russian Federation, it is extremely unprofitable”.

“If initially cooperating with Russia can lead to some additional income, in the medium term it will lead to huge direct economic and reputational losses”, said the Ukrainian presidential advisor.

“We recommend that all countries, including Armenia, at least adhere to strict neutral status. It is better to join the informal coalition of many civilized states, whose market is much larger than the market of the Russian Federation, and we also recommend joining the sanctions policy”, he added.

Earlier, the Ukrainian TV channel Kanal 5 reported that the authorities in Yerevan seem to be tolerating pro-war activities calling for occupation by Russia of further foreign territories, including in Moldova.
