New Generation Party nominee Anatol Munteanu has withdrawn from the race for Romania's Parliament, throwing his support behind the candidate of the National Liberal Party of Romania, Nicolae Dabija. “Dabija has more experience, he is a patriot, a fighter, a honest and correct man, a man from our home, who will promote our ideas and will solve the citizens' most arduous problems”, Anatol Munteanu told the agency Info-Prim Neo. “We need a representative in the Romanian Parliament who will be intimate with the problems of the Romanian Bessarabians, who will have enough experience and greater popular support. I want to show an example to the other candidates, so that we can realize our platforms, which are basically the same. In times of difficulty, we must join our forces and move forward”, said Munteanu. He said the decision belongs to him personally and not to the party he represented. The withdrawal had been discussed with Nicolae Dabija. “We discussed my platform, point by point, and Dabija considers it to be great and which he will continue. I'll stay committed till the end to support him. “I maintain my thesis of two Romanian states, but we have to improve our collaboration to resolve our problems. Having a rich life experience, I've realized today that we have to forge an economic and commercial union, an unification of our relations. We must have a better collaboration between the two countries”, he concluded. Nicolae Dabija runs for a deputy's seat in Romania's Parliament representing the National Liberals. He has said earlier he is endorsed locally by the National Liberal Party of Moldova, the European Action Movement, the Moldova Noastra Alliance and the Ecologic Party. The November 30 elections open a first-time opportunity for the Romanian diaspora to depute representatives into the Romanian Parliament.
