Municipal services are engaged in clearing snow from streets and pavements

The snowfall registered this night and morning has determined the leadership of the Chisinau City Hall to mobilise municipal services for clearing snow from streets and pavements, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a press release from the PR Department of the City Hall, municipal services are operating in emergency regime. In the morning hours, 80 technical units equipped with accessories for snow removal and scattering antiskid material are being involved in clearing the streets. Another 20 technical means and staff of the municipal enterprises for managing the dwelling fund take part in removing snow from pavements and omnibus stops. Until now, over 400 cu. m of antiskid material have been scattered on the municipality’s traffic thoroughfares. Heat and hot water is being supplied in usual regime, without interruptions, at the temperature of 83 C°. According to the same source, public transport is running normally. As many as 277 trolleybuses, 104 buses and 1600 minibuses are operating on their route according to the timetable. At the same time, 60 dustbin wagons are on duty.
