Forty-five schools selected at a contest were outfitted with multimedia equipment within the project “Smart classroom” that is implemented by the Ministry of Education with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency. The institutions received laptops, tablet PCs and interactive boards. The equipment is to be used for the professional formation of the future staff and for training teachers who work already in the system, IPN reports.
An education portal and an electronic platform for digital contents will be worked out within the project in the future. There will be bought educational software and staged training seminars for teachers.
The total value of the project “Smart classroom” is about US$300,000. With the support of another Korean project, 20 teachers will go to South Korea on an exchange during the next months.
