The MPs in the last month of last year adopted 122 draft legislative acts. Among the most important ones are the 2024 state budget law, the 2024 state social insurance budget and the 2024 draft mandatory health insurance funds, IPN reports.
Out of the 122 draft legislative acts, 44 were given a first reading, while 78 were adopted after having been given a second reading. Also in December, 57 drafts entered the legislative procedure.
According to data presented by the Parliament’s Communication and Public Relations Division, out of the total number of legislative acts that were given a second reading, 53 are laws and 23 are decisions. The MPs also examined 17 acts aimed at harmonizing national legislation with that of the European Union.
Among the legislative initiatives debated by Parliament were the bills to increase allowances for veterans and their families and to provide a one-off allowance of 120,000 lei to young specialists working in the field of culture. Legislative amendments were also made to improve the regulatory framework in the agri-food, waste management, electoral and other sectors.
Last December, the legislative body had four plenary sittings.
