The farmers waited for the MPs to provide a response as to the mechanism for providing compensations for corn and sunflower. The time limit was December 18, 4 pm, IPN reports“Radu Mudreac (Socialist MP, e.n.) does not answer the phone. He told his colleagues that he does not want to take part in negotiations anymore and the other components cannot thus solve the problem,” said a protester.

PPPDA MP Alexandru Slusari came out and told the farmers that they yesterday identified several variants for establishing a compensation mechanism so that the money was provided until the middle of February, but MP Radu Mudreac refused to talk to the protesters because he was angry and frustrated.

According to Alexandru Slusari, 800 million lei can be found for the farmers and the Chicu Government should propose a compensation mechanism the next few days by assuming responsibility before the no-confidence motion is debated.

The protesters said they will try to contact the Ministry of Finance, the Cabinet on December 21 and will resume the protest on December 22, at 10am. They will also invite the carriers and representatives of the hospitality industry and also Nistru war veterans.
