Most frequently assigned energy vulnerability categories are extreme, very high and high

Most households registered on the compensatii.gov.md platform fell into the category of extreme, very high or high energy vulnerability, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported.

As of November 25, of the 719,381 households that applied for energy bill relief, 243,729 households, or 33.9%, were assigned the very high vulnerability category. 232,746 households or 32.4% received the category of high energy vulnerability, and 105,055 households or 14.6% the category of extreme energy vulnerability.

10.7% of the registered households are in the medium energy vulnerability category, 6.3% in the low energy vulnerability category, 1.8% in the primary energy vulnerability category, and only 0.4% of the registered households were deemed non-vulnerable.

457,913 households applied for on-bill relief, 261,468 households applied for the 800 lei/month payout, and 86,404 households will receive both forms of aid.

The compensatii.gov.md platform remains open for registration and households can still request energy bill relief until the 25th of each month throughout the cold season (November 2023-March 2024). Aid will be granted starting from the month in which the application was submitted.
