The mosaic on the façade of the building of “Maria Bieșu” National Opera and Ballet House was included in the National Register of Public Forum Monuments. A draft law providing for this was adopted by Parliament, IPN reports.
The mosaic dates back to 1974 and was previously on the façade of the former building of the Trade Unions’ Palace of Culture at 7 Kiev Street. In 2020-2022, it was restored and moved to the façade of the auxiliary building of “Maria Bieșu” National Opera and Ballet House.
The bill drafted on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture was passed by the votes of 59 MPs.
