The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family will issue over 15,000 tickets to 29 summer camps. According to Minister Valentina Buliga, the tickets will be distributed to the local public authorities that will afterward give them to persons aged between 7 and 18 free of charge, IPN reports.
Over 20 million lei was earmarked for purchasing tickets to summer camps. This is by 4.9% more than in 2012, Valentina Buliga said in a press briefing.
The tickets will be distributed from next week. The camps are examined and prepared for accommodating children. A day in a camp costs about 130 lei.
The tickets will be offered to orphans, children from one-parent families, families on low income or with many children, children with disabilities, under guardianship and whose parents are pensioners. The children of asylum seekers will also receive free tickets to summer camps this year.
