More persons than announced took part in hunting in Domneasca Forest

Minimum 40 persons took part in the December 23 hunting in the Domneasca Forest, where a man was wounded fatally. The information was presented in the legislature’s February 15 sitting by the chairman of the parliamentary commission of inquiry into that tragic hunting incident. Earlier, it was said that the hunting involved 32 persons, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The commission established that at least 40 persons participated in the hunting. Fifteen of them were hunters, about 20 beaters, while seven were auxiliary personnel. Most of the participants in the hunting and the auxiliary personnel were invited on the eve, on December 22. Other participants were informed on December 21 or earlier,” said the commission’s chairman Anatolie Zagorodnyi. The commission established that the instruction of hunters and beaters before the hunting was superficial. The arms and cartridges weren’t checked. The hunters and beaters put their signatures in the hunter’s register post-factum. “During the hunting, the organization and technical security rules were flagrantly violated. Ultimately, during the second chase, one of the participants was seriously wounded. When he was injured he was near hunters though, according to the documents, he was a beater. After he was hurt, he was taken to the parking lot by sled. None of the participants in the hunting informed the police and the ambulance service. The man was taken to the district hospital by the car of businessman Valeriu Guzun, who was accompanied by businessman Boris Buga. He was hospitalized there,” related Anatolie Zagorodnyi. According to the report, the prosecutor of Falesti district and the district police commissioner communicated with each other for several times on December 23 and the next days. There are sufficient reasons to believe that the two, as well as the former director of “Moldsilva” Agency Ion Lupu, tried to hide the wounding.
