The state-owned enterprise “Posta Moldovei” (“Moldova’s Post Office”) warns the citizens against providing personal data and transferring the amounts requested through messages attributed to it. These SMS messages contain links to fraudulent websites, IPN reports.

The enterprise noted that it never asks for bank data through messages and does not send SMS notifications to correct addresses.

The people are recommended to block the phone number from which they received such a message. If they entered their bank details, they should immediately inform the bank they use so that this blocks the transaction.

To verify the information, the people can contact the enterprise’s Customer Support Service on the single phone number 1310 or the landline (022) 27-00-44, or send an e-mail to informatii@posta.md.
